This spot along the Debouville Slough Dyke in Port Coquitlam is very popular with bikers and dog walkers. This painting depicts a place at the river bend where you can access the river along a path. The time of year is autumn when the colours are golden yellows and browns. The sunset is just beginning to turn the clouds pink and the softness of the clouds is repeated in the soft reflections in the river. I love the contrast of the bold colour of the impressionistic expressive brushstrokes in the bushes with the softness of the evening sky.
